1.1 This test method covers the determination of the lime content of soil-lime mixtures sampled from a project under construction or at the pug-mill, or both. 1.2 In soils with highly variable amounts of CaCo3 (such as caliche), it may be difficult to obtain a representative sample. 1.3 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. The values stated in inch-pound units are provided for information only. 1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
